aproctor, you're wrong.
If you actually read the link that you posted, you will have seen "mobile" as one of the items under "What's not covered?"
Any returns policy for mobiles that are provided by shops or networks, for non-online/telephone sales (i.e. bought in a shop, in person) is purely that network's generosity and there is no statutory right to cancel a mobile phone contract that you bought in a shop, just because you don't want it anymore.
Of course, things like faulty handsets etc is a whole different bag altogether.
