*must remain calm*

Well, since it's looking good/probable for the iPhone 4g next month I thought I'd jump ship now and sell my iPhone 3g 16gb on a popular auction site. Quite a shock going back to my old SE k800i but I forgot how good that old phone was.. Great sound quality, screen and a fantastic battery life, even after 4 years. It feels good not having to plug the phone in every night and it has keys!

There you go, K800i phones - the future of mobile communication.

(Much better than the iphone apart from from Apps, GPS, WiFi, movie playback, mp3, intern.... ok..ok ;))

Being used to an iPhone, I took my old K800i for a spin again. I loved it :D. By the way, apps HAVE come to the k800i. You can download opera mini, IM clients and allsorts of java based shennanigans! ;) You can also download google maps and have it pinpoint you like on the iphone. in my case the k800i is superior as it has 3G, while my iphone 2g doesnt. AND...it has streetview on the k800i!

The original iPhone June 29th 2007
3G - July 11th 2008
3GS - June19th 2009.

3GSS/4g - June 7-11th 2010?

Might have completely dropped the ball but got a fair enough price anyway for the 3G.

@Pav89 - Thanks for that!, Will look into it and didn't realise the k800i could be quite the media machine! :)

Well I received an invite to the WWDC conference stating from June 7th - 11th I may be selling mine at the end of the month.

Apple store, tell them somethings wrong, get a new phone sell it for a tiny bit less than retail price (due to the used box)

June 7th - 22nd is estimated iPhone 4G announcement, will be buying buying buying :D

i sold mine about 5 weeks ago (got £340 for it), using a crappy £5.99 nokia ever since :( i miss my iphone. Nearly bought a desire, but managed to keep myself at bay untill the next iphone and then see which phone to get.

I still have my old SE K750i as a backup phone - 5+ years on and still going strong - lasts 11-14days battery even if I hammer it and the sound quality playing MP3s, AAC, etc. is just great (I have one of the revisions that has the sony digital walkman hardware like the 800).

I couldn't go back to it tho now - too used to the massive touchscreen on my X1. Sony need to get back to make phones of this quality with their smartphones.

Ha when I left my charger at my girlfriend's I was back to the k800i, I survived quite easily actually and made me question whether I needed an iphone!

Great lil phone, surprisingly good mp3 quality with the supplied phones like you say and nice camera and tennis game (that I only ever beat the computer at once)

if its the same tennis game i had, upgrade your shot power to max first thing then you should win easier :)

Yeah that Tennis game is tough but thanks for the heads up about shot power.

Also loving Mini Golf Castles again on the k800i. It's no Angry Birds but it's entertaining enough. :)

I've got the silver k800i (the casino royale edition) so it's nice to have the bond themes again too. Saying that the iPhone went in the post today, and I'm already having cold turkey symptoms. ;)
