I love all this new extra power, even though my bike is restricted it is still very responsive and it has all this power and kick!
On my way home from the dealer I managed 90mph easily (on private motorway of course), and I love how quickly it gets from 20 to 60 :D

It feels like its just what I wanted, good accelerator, easily to ride 70-80mph if needed.

Now only 1 year and 11 months for the restriction to be removed :(

I remember that feeling.. though I was on a GPZ500S :D . Got a bit smaller kick going to a full power SV650S (the restrictors just "fell out", honest!) and then another massive kick in power going to the RSVR  ... it still surprises me now! :D (in a good way!). Next... who knows, keeping the RSVR for a little while yet until I'm quicker on the track :) .

I can't believe how naive I was thinking that a 125cc would keep me happy for 2 years or so. There is simply no comparison between 125cc and 600cc (even restricted).

I regret now not doing the full license but this is another story.

Do your accelerated access test then?

Just wondering, did you trade in your 125? If so how much did you get for it/what bike was it?

Yeah, I traded Yamaha YBR 125, 2010 April (4 moths old), 2100 milage, for £1600 :( :( :(

Call me lazy, I can't be bothered selling privately, then looking for bike etc, I wouldn't get much more for selling it privately anyway.

There's nothing quite like that feeling when you progress to a bigger bike with a big jump in power :D Enjoy your new ride.

I have a 2009 YBR, 5000 miles on sale for £1500, looks like I may drop it to £1400 to sell tbh, I'm struggling atm and need a bigger bike for uni

Perfect first big bike. Enjoy mate! Just remember how much heavier it is when pushing it or parking on gravel!

Looks really nice.

When doing DAS, the big bikes were better in every way over a 125, it makes me wonder who the hell would even bother with a 125 – seriously, the ‘big bikes’ go, stop and turn better, they also have weight to them so you’re not blown about the damn place.

For anyone with a 125 who can ride a larger bike – give it a go, you really wont regret it :)

Weird! Same path i took, but ended in an SV1000S, wish it was an RSVR :)

I think people always worry that bigger bike = more danger, due to it's size, speed, acceleration etc.
I know I was expecting it to be more dangerous when I was 1/2 way though my DAS, as I was just getting used to a 125, moving on to a Honda CB500, I was expecting the weight to be a hindrance. Just turned out to be the opposite, found it more manoeuvrable, more stable, better acceleration and braking, just a better experience over all.

Looks like a tidy CBF600 you've picked up apatia77 :), hope you enjoy it :D.

OOOOOOOOOO, you wait until it's de restricted :D

I never had a 125, my first road bike was a Ducati 748 lol, which still feels pretty powerful for its age.

Indeed. Had a nice ride with my instructor on the way to the Module 1 site(must have been 20 miles or so), kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I was on a 125 for about a year before I finally decided to get off my backside and do the DAS. As soon as I got on the bigger bike I was amazed how much better and easier it was to ride. Just felt so much more planted, a hell of a lot easier to balance at slow speed. And of course not having to wring its neck if there was ever an uphill gradient. It really did improve my riding significantly.
