I love all this new extra power, even though my bike is restricted it is still very responsive and it has all this power and kick!
On my way home from the dealer I managed 90mph easily (on private motorway of course), and I love how quickly it gets from 20 to 60 :D

It feels like its just what I wanted, good accelerator, easily to ride 70-80mph if needed.

Now only 1 year and 11 months for the restriction to be removed :(

I can't believe how naive I was thinking that a 125cc would keep me happy for 2 years or so. There is simply no comparison between 125cc and 600cc (even restricted).

I regret now not doing the full license but this is another story.

Do your accelerated access test then?

Just wondering, did you trade in your 125? If so how much did you get for it/what bike was it?

Yeah, I traded Yamaha YBR 125, 2010 April (4 moths old), 2100 milage, for £1600 :( :( :(

Call me lazy, I can't be bothered selling privately, then looking for bike etc, I wouldn't get much more for selling it privately anyway.

Will have to be careful once the restriction is removed, at the moment once on 2nd/3rd gear I can go full throttle and the bike will never do a wheelie. I am still very excited every time I ride my new bike, I went 100mph yesterday but I think this is the limit with the restriction on.

What sort of license do i need to get on the road without l plates on restricted bike

You get A2 license done, it's the same as for DAS (module 1 and module 2) but you can do it on 125cc bike and you can go alone on your 125 to the test centres for module 1 and module 2, some people pass both exams without paying for any training.

Then you have your license restricted for 2 years of passing module 2 to 33bhp/25KW, then you send it back to DVLA after 2 years and they remove the restriction from the license for you without any fees.

You can have passengers and ride without L plates on any bike but it has to be less powerful than 33bhp/25KW hence you buy the bike you like and then get it restricted to 33bhp/25KW.
