Just upgraded from 125cc to CBF600cc and OMG all this power!

I am very very tempted. When you do the DAS does it have to be on consecutive days?

I did my DAS training in 2 seperate 3 hour block lessons, and an hour before the module 2. Not sure if you can still do the whole crash course DAS thing now that the 2 modules have come in.

Any place worth the money will allow you to split the training up as necessary: I spent 3 non-consecutive weekends with my local place (then a quick refresher session when I failed..)

I remember moving up from a CG125 to my GPZ500s - I had to set myself up every time I opened the throttle! Obviously as you develop experience the power becomes less of a shock, but yes I fully remember that! Enjoy it! It's great fun! :D When the restrictor does get removed, beware of power-on wheelies! ;)

Will have to be careful once the restriction is removed, at the moment once on 2nd/3rd gear I can go full throttle and the bike will never do a wheelie. I am still very excited every time I ride my new bike, I went 100mph yesterday but I think this is the limit with the restriction on.

power on wheelies on a cbf600? I guess its the way the suspensions set up?

If you weigh 100kg+ and the suspension is set hard (which I prefer) it's fairly easy to get the wheel up on power. The one I did it on did have a full exhaust system and had been dynojetted so was maybe a bit torquier - don't get me wrong, it wasn't a full bore wheelie, but a good foot or so. :)

Get some washers from http://www.fiinternational.com/ or some other place and then get it fitted.

It's very expensive for what you buy but there is no other option really.

It costs about £200 to get it fitted (my case £170 parts+£30 labour cost).

Dont go to FI International or anywhere else like them its a rip off
There is no legal requirement for riders to have a so-called 33bhp certificate , your just paying £200 for a couple of washers.

you do need to restrict your bike but dont need the bit of paper
Neither police nor insurers will regard them as proof a motorcycle is restricted.

What sort of license do i need to get on the road without l plates on restricted bike

You get A2 license done, it's the same as for DAS (module 1 and module 2) but you can do it on 125cc bike and you can go alone on your 125 to the test centres for module 1 and module 2, some people pass both exams without paying for any training.

Then you have your license restricted for 2 years of passing module 2 to 33bhp/25KW, then you send it back to DVLA after 2 years and they remove the restriction from the license for you without any fees.

You can have passengers and ride without L plates on any bike but it has to be less powerful than 33bhp/25KW hence you buy the bike you like and then get it restricted to 33bhp/25KW.

Im just jealous ;) cant get my 7 to power on wheelie unless im going up a hill, I guess its cos you pretty much lay over the front wheel.
