I dont realy know what to say except omg what an amazing movie, the story the acting the total wtfness :p

Totally blew me away, I had never realy wanted to watch is as found the whole bunny thing crazy but it realy does work in the movie. Im going to put this in my best movies of all time dvd section.

Did anyone else find this movie amazing, I know its getting on now. Soundtrack is fantastic aswell.

I'll hazard a guess that people like it because it's smart, it's completely different to anything else out there, it's really really mind blowing and it makes you think and think about your life.
We don't all like action films :)!

Nice assumptions

I'm all for movies which make you think, but this one I didn't find enjoyable, or 'make me think about my life'. I found the plot uninteresting and to be honest, there wasn't much of one!

I thought this movie was okay, but nothing really amazing. What made it worse however, was all the "scene-kids" I know verbally masturbating about how totally "trippy" and mind-blowing this film is, you could tell it was a pure attempt to appear cool and trendy. That totally soured the movie for me!

Probably my favourite film, had to watch it a couple of times to grasp what the hell it was about, was made a bit easier by seeing the Directors Cut' sort of explains things a bit more, although I believe most people dislike the directors cut for various reasons, including changing some music, but I loved it.

Great film, and a rather good soundtrack to it too, would have loved to get hold of a Frank suit for this halloween, fancy dress party and all that.

mmm.... that's the impression I get from anyone who says this movie is 'the best movie ever, makes you think so much about things'.

Definitely! Its one of two impressions:

1.) This person is a stoner trying to appear deep
2.) This person is a trend-whore trying to appear cool

So you're saying that time travel isn't something you think about every now and again, if I could have etc .. I don't mean to sound like a 'scene - kid' or whatever you label people as, I simply thought that time travel is an interesting thought to hold. Sorry if this causes a big issue with you guys
If you can't get that I appreciate the thoughts this triggered, then I guess I won't try to explain it, but I know this isn't zomgz the best film ever, it is however more thought inducing then a lot of other films I've watched.

Fair enough if you think it's interesting, though for me it didn't live up to my expectations. I wanted something in which the plot moved forward a bit more, as to me it seemed a bit bare.

Aye, I wouldn't list it as one of the greatest films of all time, not even in my top 10, but it's still very interesting. Just as a film it doesn't feel complete

Ummmmm but then it would be a totally different film because that is what the film is actually about... A guy reviewing his life outside of time in the split seconds after he has been hit by a car...Maybe it's because i was hit by a car myself as a kid i can totally relate to the film... Even now, i can still vividly remember how time seemed to almost stop in the split second between being hit and my face kissing the tarmac.. I remember being laid on the kitchen table and a Bee Gees song on the radio seeming to just flood through me and become eveything..or did i imagine that part?? I dont know, i dont think so...

Darko is one of the very few films since "Paris Texas", that actually talks about , and pictures, that life can be extremely *boringly ordinary* for the vast majority of people on this earth. Fair enough, you dont want to be reminded of that, i can fully understand why people wouldn't find the film an attractive proposition at all.

To me Darko was a great stab at making a film that reflects, to some extent, real life. That our lifes are not neatly plotted in some linear path where events unfold within 90-120 mins with a beginning middle and end. Rather, that our memories are made up of random sights, tastes , smells and experiences, sometimes of the totally mundane.

Surely, one of the themes of the film ,is that, the main character is so young, and that being so, his life has been cut short befroe he has had the opportunity to really experience that much of life?

I don't get why people love this film, it's a pile of **** imo.

It's a good thing everyone doesn't like the same thing otherwise it would be a boring world.

I liked the film and don't get why people hate. It works both ways.

Im just saying that a lot of people I know who really went on about this film were total scenesters. Also, I thought the general hype about this film was way over the top and that did a lot to ruin it for me. I thought it was an interesting film dont get me wrong, but I dont get how some people seem to have had their jaw removed after seeing it???

I just watched it last night.

But i still dont get it, this is how i saw it..

He survived the first time the engine fell on his house, lived and did all those bad things.
Just as about the world was about to end he travels back in time, back to the engine falling on his house and kills himself so that his girlfriend would not die the way she did.

Dont know the link between Frank and the guy in costume who seems like a normal person.

Enjoyed the film, must watch it again to make sence of it.
