I am thinking about buying the 26" version of the JVC LT-26DX7 TV. Could anyone answer any of these question to help me decide.

Would it display 1280x768 PC resolution ok on an ATI x700 mobile graphics card without having to use extra programs like powerstrip.

Is the sound quality as good as it is made out to be on the websites, I am not normally that bothered about audio but from what I have heard on other LCD TV's this size they are very rubbish so is this much better?

Has anyone tried using a Nintendo Wii on it using the component input that can tell me whether it is any good.

Also if know one knows whether it is possible to get 1280x768 through the TV's VGA input using an ATI x700 then has anyone managed to get this resolution using any graphics card without using extra programs, especially if it is an ATI card as they all use the same drivers I believe.

Hope you guys can help. Thanks.

Not tried it but I wouldn't count on getting 1280x768 out of it, that would leave you with big borders anyway. 1360x768 is the res that you want and will give you as great image with just a few empty pixels either side.

I've not compared it to the sound of other TV's (apart from the other LCD I own which it wipes the floor with) but the sound is very good, does an excellent job of filling the room and it doesn't seem like the sound is just coming from the two small speakers in the unit.

No, only used a wii via composite, the picture was ok but it wasn't great for playing COD3 on as stuff in the distance on dark scenes was a bit hard to pick out. There should obviously be a big improvment from component.

Thanks very much Goatboy for the advice. I need it to do 1280x768 on the PC because that is the resolution that all my PC games can run in and so I think that is the only way I could get them to work even though it would be slightly strectched. Has anyone got this to work?

Everyone else on here has a samsung so I doubt it.

I don't think that resolution will work, only 1024x768 is officially supported.

There's a lot of information on the screen over at www.avforums.com where a guy from JVC was able to answer questions so you might find the answe there.

Ok thanks very much, I might just buy it from the internet and if I can't get it to work even with powerstrip then send it back. :D
