k800i un-branding/un-locking

Right,

i know you can use the davinci client to unlock your phones and such, but can someone do me a step by step guide as how to do it?

When the client is installed it asks to power up the phone holding down the c key, this does nothing.

Now i used this method for my k750i, but i cannot for the life of me remember where i got all the missing drivers from that it wants.


I have my phone on orange, not so worried about un-locking its the de-branding i would like to do.

can anyone help lol.

it was easy on the k750i lol.

Maybe i will wait a while. as i said its not so much the unlocking, its the de-branding, I am glad its no where near as bad as my mates voda k800i though.
 
done mine now,

helps to install the full sony ericson updater software from their site first,

this installs all the cable drivers and such that the davinci client needs.

used the eu2 firmware.

What am I spose too down load?

you need to click on the flashes tab at the top, tick both main firmware and file system flash, then select k800 r1cb001:eu2 which is uk firmware.

this will then download to you pc.

then click on flash tab at the top, put a tick next to main fs and one in
finalization.

your phone will then be falshed assuming you have bought a credit with the site, and entered the username and password correctly supplied to you.

when done flashing remove the cable, remove the batt. from your phone for 10 secs, then put the batt. back in with no sime, hold down the power on button for 10secs screen should light up, and updating will appear on the screen. when done turn off. replace sim and test.

beware this can screw your phone if done wrong.
