Hello, can anyone tell me the key sequence(if there is one) that will reset my k810i to its factory default. (you could do this with my n73)
The reason being, theres 2 programs in the games/apps, that i havent put there, which have some jiberish names (with squares in the name) so would just rather reset it to factory default.
any help woiuld be apprichiated.

from the main screen, unlocked keypad:

Right, #, Up, Left, Down, Left, Left

(Right/Left denotes the softkeys - ie, the buttons with lines on them
Up/Down denotes moving the joystick)

Interesting. These weird files are in the Games/Apps folders you say? If so, they can't be installers. Installers are filed under "Other".

Did they just appear there, or did you do something to the phone before they appeared?

What happens if you go to them and hit the C button?

They kind of just appeared there one day out of the blue. Not sure how they got there.
When I press the C button its comes up with "cannot be deleted file is protected"
And is i press the left button it would allow me to install(as it says INSTALL on the left) the apps*or what ever they are*, yet it just restarte the phone

One file name is blank
the other is aceWarpĂ▫▫▫▫

I just formated the memory card too.. So cant see what else it can be?

I would say something corrupted but a combination of a master reset and a formatted card should have solved that.

Can you go More > Information on the files to see size and other things?

One option is to use something like Far Manager with the CID51/52 SEFP to break into the phone's filesystem and physically delete the files without the operating system getting in the way. I'm 99% sure that would work, but it's complicated and a tad risky.

Just downloaded that program, and I dowt Ide have a clue on how to use that, even though I am computer literate.. (dont know how it finds the phone, currently only in the programfiles\far folder :s)
Nah mate cant see any info on it etc as it is all greyed out, the only thing it will let me click is install..
Grrrr

Hmm yeh it's not a simple program by any means! Been a while since I've used it and I can't remember offhand. If you feel like persuing that route, it might be an idea to have a look around Se-nse & Esato, sites like those have tutorials etc on accessing the internal filesystem.

If there's a specific thing you're stuck on I'll do my best to help, but I think you'll be better off looking/asking on a forum whose members can give you slightly more helpful answers!

On another tack, are there any items in the 'Other' folder which are strange/look related to these games/apps? Do these items still appear if you restart the phone without the memory card in?

Apologies for all the questions! Just a rather strange issue so I'm trying to work out exactly how these things got there and where they're stored :)

Hmm well I just tried it without the sim card, the files are still there.

Just had another look and it seems the acewarp AND the blank file is exactly .. 49206kb. Not I have no idea how that works out, I havent put anything on my phone almost 50mb before!
it states its Domain is F4:0 in the information file info(god knows what that is)
Nope theres no files in there what so ever, there isnt even any hidden files... I will try have alook on goodle for a tutorial about the program, thanks for your help so far :)

hmm I think I know how to do it now, just need to find the file for the k810i
Do you still have it mate? I had the one for the w800 and k750 but they obv wont work

Hmm Seemed to have figured it out. yet the program doesnt pick up the application/games folder.. So its pretty pointless  And the other folder is empty as it is
What a was of time that was lol.
Thanks for you help though mate

I don't know if I've still got that file, I'll have a look. Sounds like you must have the CID51/52 SEFP plugin if you managed to get into the filesystem.

Once in, go to "FS", not "FLASH". Then, go to the directories:
- /tpa/preset/system/ams.
- /tpa/preset/default/java
and delete anything that looks dodgy. It should show the file size (IIRC), so that'll help.

Sorry for the late reply, I went to bed :D

See if the above gets you anywhere :)

LMK, Jon

Edit: Acewarp... there's a default SE app called Facewarp... maybe a link there? On mine it's about 130kb and states it's domain as "Manufacturer". It's protected content too though.

Well I just deleted some jiberish files from the ams folder containing something of the lines of jkiuf98798745kjkjh.. Files are still there like

far.jpg

Java folder seems to be empty, and I doubt theres any link between them, just from the look of the way the names spelt (aceWarpĂ▫▫▫▫ with a domain of F4:0) aswell as a blank name, so it seems fishy. And to be honest I dont even think the phone holds that much memory for both files (100mb)

Hello mate, alls good now.
I just Flashed my phone to a gernetic firmware (got rid of the tmobile branding) And its got rid of the files :)
Thanks for your efforts mate :) And the phones now a lot better without there junk on there!!
Been trying to sort the mobile out for AGES now, glad I finally got somewere in the end, I hate flashing phones, always have a feeling it will screw up, was crossed keys all the way untill the phone turned on! lol.
