There's a distinct difference between breaking rules and having an opinion, providing that those opinions are within the rules. It's the same for these boards.

Having a negative opinion of OCUK will get your post transferred away from public view though...I've seen posters start threads criticising the company and then they quickly disappear.

Not me personally I might add.

The point is it’s clear many don’t like her. Hell I don’t agree with half of what she rants about.
But on this matter she was speaking truth.
How on earth can you be penalised for speaking the truth of a subject (just more brash).?

I did not see one post where I thought, ok she has messed up there. Nothing was hate filled anything whatsoever.
Twitter just took her down because she was appealing to a larger audience and it’s not what they want to happen. She called out vile labour MP’s spouting hate and asked if they hated white people. ? That’s a question. ?

We will see what they do, you can’t keep someone off a platform it’s physically impossible with VPN and a simple username change.
It may be hard but when that person is relying on their name recognition to make them visible and earn them money it becomes a hell of a lot simpler to find them again, as they'll want their adoring fans to know what their new username is, and if their fans can find it easy enough for the banned user to stay in the public eye, you can bet that a company like twitter will be able to do the same.
It's not like she's going to try and fly "under the radar" with a new account, she's going to want everyone to know about it otherwise what's the point (for her) in having a twitter account if it doesn't help her make money.

Also it's worth noting, that many VPN's are known about and flagged by companies as possibly suspicious, it's why they sometimes stop working for some services (although it's usually too much bother so the likes of netflix might only ban the most obvious ones when needed to keep the rights holders happy during licencing negotiations).

If your opinion doesn't abide by the rules (of the platform) then you are breaking the rules, oxymoron surely?

Either way, her account was suspended because her opinion(s) didn't abide by the rules, set out by Twitter, that she agreed to upon sign-up.
And as others have stated, no one has a right to a Twitter, or any other private platform, and she is freely allowed to sign-up to any other platform and air her opinions, just as long as she abides to that platforms rules/T&C's.

And in a shocking turn of events to absolutely no-one - Parler is now increasing it's user base users with approx 200k joining from the UK alone over the past few days and the numbers are increasing daily - Slow clap everyone, you beat racism by giving it a bigger, safer space to use with no oversight but hey, at least you can't see it on Twitter so it's gone away, right

Fascinating, however this isn't some gotcha moment, it's exactly what was ordered.

Now the powers that be have a enduring duo of enemies who will grow increasingly violent towards one another over irrational grievances, thereby provoking the tired middle into capitulating to fascism to stop it all.

The cycle never disappoints.

They say there's no such thing as bad publicity and in Katie's case it appears true, I am pleased to see a lot more of her comments and opinions scattered all over the media at the moment, it's obviously very hard to keep someone so popular down. And with the current political situation it's obviously nice for there to be a balancing voice heard.

I'm comforted by her increasing struggle to monetise her publicity.

So do you include those 13 Tory MPs who joined straight away as being racists as well then? Personally I think its a good marker now.

No sure if hearing the racists side is classified as a "balancing voice"? Next thing you will be demanding that the BBC have a racist on every time they have a BLM supporter on for the sake of "balance"?

The politicising of BLM will have caused many teetering on the edge of disliking some races more than others to have hardened their opinions, without a doubt, I hear this in everyday talk, on amateur radio talk, especially from the USA, and on the less censored forums. It must have been the dumbest marketing strategy of all times. When a black person is left wondering why that dream job goal disappeared, or that landlord suddenly demanded Draconian references, or was tardy in communications, they might like to ponder whether BLM has done their cause any favours, damage that will take a generation to forget if they disappeared today. It has certainly entrenched my views of race relations here in England. At my most generous I might consider some afficianados of BLM to be ignorant political pawns. But probably far from unwilling ones! Liberal elements of the media are just rubbing in the salt with their pandering to this mob, the quiet majority will take action in retaliation in quiet ways, for sure. Mob rule won't beat the establishment yet.

To put this 200k in perspective. Twitter had 17.75 million active users in the UK alone as of April this year.
