Kawasaki Zx6r (636) First bike?

Hey guys am in the middle of sorting out my bike licence for summer and looking at getting a bike soon as they tend to be a bit cheaper this time of year.

What are peoples opinion in a Zx6r for a first bike? There's a 2003 model for sale at a good price near by and was wondering if there was anyone on here who had one as there first bike? recommend it?

Cheers :)

I'm in the same boat as you. Picked a first bike which wont be a good first bike

Had a 00 J1 as my first sports bike then 2 06 C1H's after that. Lovely bikes. the C1H's were the best 600's Kawasaki have made in the sports bike market.

Well went and looked at the local 636 and it was perfect. 14000 on the clock with full service history. clean and tidy (apart from one or 2 scratches but its 12 years old). Friend rode it home and was impressed how well it handled and just how quick it was compared to his 97 zx6r. previous owner was sad he had to let it go.

Passed my theory today and CBT Sunday hopefully full test around March/April

Here she is :D

and a very happy owner

you can kiss your license goodbye if you get caught

bet it sounds nice with that can on it

EDIT: you have lots of ammo sitting on that shelf just waiting to drop off and put a nice dent or chip on that tank:eek:;)

Too right, love my C1H. Very well built, and can keep up with anything on the roads in the right hands. A very capable all round bike.

They're really soft and easy to ride below 6-7k, above that you'll get a tease of the power. Take it over 10k and you'll know about it, don't do this until you're comfortable with it and have a few months under your belt first. Enjoy the B1H.
