Was just testing out the new breadmaker- had been on for about 2 hrs and getting close to finishing... as I was on my mobile I casually touched the metal handle on the outside of the breadmaker and a sudden spark, pop and tripping of the house ensued!
I'm guessing this was some sort of static discharge from myself that caused it to go bang.... but common sense would tell me it definately shouldn't do that irrespective of whether i've been rubbing my feet on the carpet or not!!
Now, bearing in mind it went pop and switched off.... should I try and turn it on again - as wouldn't it just have tripped as a safety precaution? Or would I be wiser to just take it back as faulty?
Don't want a Xmas death on the cards!!
