Kevin Spacey will return as Lex Luthor in "Superman: Man of Steel" and appear in "Telstar," Nick Moran's film version of the darkly comic West End play about flamboyant '60s record mogul Joe Meek reports Variety.

Spacey hopes to shoot his Luthor role in a six-week block, as he did on Superman Returns," after he completes his run in David Mamet's "Speed the Plow" in April.

"Superman Returns" scripter Michael Dougherty is now writing the screenplay and Singer plans to begin production next year for a 2009 release.

"Telstar" started filming Monday in London. Con O'Neill reprises his stage role as Meek, the gay and tone deaf songwriter-producer. Spacey plays his financier, Major Banks.

Spider-man 4 will have to be pretty good to make me interested in the series again. Spidey 3 was utter poo.

Tbh, I'm more interested in the new Hulk movie, which isn't a sequel, but rather someone else's take on the comic. Edward Norton to play Banner.

i just think the superman films should pull away from Lex being the bad guy - they are good films, but lack the supervillians that will give it something different.

Spiderman has had big baddies, even Batman had some quality characters, and bar Zod n his generals in Superman II weve not seen anything epic for superman to fight... other then a bald criminal mastermind.

Bring on Doomsday or something, or even Mr Mixylpitlick or whatever his name is

^^ i dread to think how low your expectations were, smr was dreadful...
I was expecting it to be dreadful, it far exceeded that expectation for me.

Maybe I liked it more because I thought it would be bad, I really enjoyed it either way. :)
