Keyboard Media Keys Start Windows Media Player

When I press play/pause on my keyboard media player starts (not playing anything) and it takes focus, ie if I'm playing a game and I pause my song on iTunes, the desktop will appear and media player starts :confused:

Does anyone have a solution to this?

Or does anyone know how to stop media player using the media keys (maybe removing a dll from its program file?), as I don't use media player the loss of function wouldn't matter.

Not really, it just plays songs, the sound isn't any different to itunes. Winamp is better than them both so you could try that.

Well, let's not argue about which media player is best, I care not what you use.

Would you like WMP to pop up every time you pressed play for winamp?

I use media player because I don't use a library, I find it much faster to have assorted folders with music in and I also use the media functions on my keyboard which will only work with wmp. Why don't you create a playlist and use that instead of the keyboard functions? Anyway winamp was simply a suggestion because I've heard it works with the keyboard keys.

If not what keyboard are you using. Is *** associated software loaded?
