Soldato
Well I saw a white Focus RS in Costco yesterday that had its window smashed and someone had replaced it with polythene and just now I have received this from the neighbourhood watch:
Looks like there has been a spate of it according to a friend of mine. Its a good job he just sold his.
Officers are appealing for owners of Ford Focus RS vehicles to be mindful following a series of recent thefts in Derby.
If you or someone you know owns such a vehicle please consider it’s security measures. Even if you don’t own this type of car it is always advisable to consider a vehicle’s vulnerabilities.
•Please make sure you lock the doors, close the windows and sunroof and set the immobiliser and alarm before leaving your vehicle. It only takes a few seconds, such as when paying for petrol at a service station, for an opportunist thief to take advantage of the situation and search the whole vehicle for anything to value.
•Registration documents and test certificates should be kept at home.
•If your vehicle does not have an alarm consider having one fitted.
•When parking at home use the garage if you have one or park on a well-lit driveway or street.
•When parking away from home try to park in a place that is well lit and overlooked. When using a public car park try to use one that is supervised.
