What the hell has soldiers risking lives got to do with anything?

Somebody made the point this lady was doing a hard job, well by that rationale soldiers should be far more deserving. And the fact no one is forced to join the army, shows they are doing a service to their country.

And yes donations on this scale would go a long way to help with the rehabilitation of injured soldiers from Afghanistan, who are suffering amputated limbs etc. something which will plague them the rest of their lives, unlike 10 minutes worth of verbal abuse.

You're basically saying that you shouldn't do a good deed when you can go and help someone else who needs it more. Why should I give money to the dogs shelter - they're only dogs for christs sake. Why not give it to orphans? Oh wait...orphans are in decent homes in this country and are well and healthy. Why not give it to cancer patients? Oh wait they have the NHS. Why not give it to starving African kids?

If you really believe that, you should be out there in Africa and Afghanistan helping the people you say we should be helping, instead of preaching. Totally idiotic.

Oh and norm, how much did you spend on nice things for yourself or for friends/family in the last year? Why didn't you donate it to Iraq?

I read that police patrols were done outside some of the little ***** houses because they were getting so much abuse (from 4chan and maybe some miscers probably) and the kids actually got really scared.
