kids should take drugs instead of playing computer games

Erm, stupid woman.

Lets write to complain to her,

Jees she must have a screw loose lol its like people that say violent video games make you violent, There just games.
If your son goes and runs someone down on his skateboard after playing Tony hawks would you blame the computer game NO??

But if he hits someone with a shovel after playing Manhunt they blame the games??

It’s all bull in my eyes just looking for someone to blame.

LOL at the devil worshippers comment, how can any self respecting parent say they'd rather have their kids take drugs then play a computer game. Some people are beyond comprehension.

Ack! She's done what she set out to achieve. Become someone famous for 15 mins with some wild, crazy and controversial view that she can't possibly mean but has said it to gain attention.

Lol taken out of context or what. She's not saying she'd rather her kids take drugs. She's saying gaming is a greater of two evils and she has a point, too many kids spend far too long playing games these days.

However when I was a kid I'd spend hours on end reading books and no one seemed to worry over that.

I'm sorry, but as if they're even close to each other in terms of damage they can do.

Plenty of kids do get addicted to games, no doubt, but I imagine it's far easier to wean them off the Playstation than it is a dangerous crack habit. I don't see people robbing houses and stealing things because they just have to get the latest FIFA.

Sorry I don't recall anyone mentioning crack

oh and if you want evidence of the problems look at the japanese playground where kids won't even talk to each other unless they have the same handheld and most go home and don't go out but sit in tiny rooms glued to a screen. Technology is making a significant negative impact on their culture and it's just the tip of the iceberg. Who's to say what such a lack of social interaction will result in the psyches of kids of tommorrow.

Ok so give them cannabis at break time and see what effect that has?

You could look at it in the way it keeps kids off the streets. Who would want their kids on the streets these days?

Had name-calling or kids ignoring eachother when I was at school I can remember the vidid name-calling because someone had an Amtrad CPC rather than a Spectrum or a Commodore - and God help the kid who had the Oric (loser), BBC (school swot), Atari (kiddie) or MSX (weirdo)
