GameSpot testing suggests facial recognition features of Microsoft's motion-sensing camera system might not work properly for some gamers.
Source: In testing the Kinect, two dark-skinned GameSpot employees had problems getting the system's facial recognition features to work.

Thorough product testing there MS![]()
I played a demo setup the other day and got to say it was good fun, games will improve over time as always and i'm looking forward to future titles as well as some of the soon to be released at launch titles, my preorder is intact, providing you actually have some friends and family it's a worthy purchase despite a few glitches tbh.
Overall
+ something different enough to entertain
+ some decent looking launch titles with good reviews appearing
- pricey
- Playstation Move fanboys will hate it regardless of what it can do
- PC fanboys will hate it becasue they have no real mates to play with only virtual buddies
- Wii diehards will state how Nintendo invented everything from breathing to farting and everyone else copies
Sorry for the above stereotyping
BTW I like many others do own 360, wii, ps3 and PC and like to play with them all on and off so like to think i'm not biased.
Oh and for anyone else who has a Kinect coming I ordered Dance Central & Kinect Sports also which look to be the best launch offerings.
Really?
Cause you kinda just listed trolling comments as 3 out of your 4 disadvantages.
Not at all but whichever gaming forum I visit I can't read about a game on X platform for more than a few seconds before coming across comments in the above format I posted, I'm not trolling just stating very sad facts which more often than not happen to be accurate, personally I just like to play games full stop I don't give a monkeys which system it's on from a £140 quid Wii to a £2000 monster gaming PC. I stand by what I said Kinect is different and fun for friends and family but certain sectors of the gaming community will dismiss it just because it's not on X platform.
check that out
Well I can play Wii and Move fine, but I certainly don't have the recommended 6ft from TV space that Kinect needs, plus the space either side.
