Maybe Kingston are onto something with this idea, I have no idea, I personally feel they were maybe just smoking some illegal substances at the time they came up with this idea.

Well some mouse pad vendors have released pads that flip so one side is control and other is speed. So there is some logic, but having two pads isn't my idea of fun.

Mouse mat aside, from a branding perspective Kingston have just watered down their RAM branding.

Could you imagine Western Digital or Seasonic doing something similar.

they are using hyper X for gaming peripherals with no mention of the kingston name

whereas memory/flash/storage products are all still mentioning kingston.


these mouse mats are decent in fairness. had one on my desk for a bit.

Kingston make really very good RAM, in terms of reliability it ranks up with pretty much anything. My instant thought was why is a company so good in that area moving into something like this.

individual packs were sold at a lower price

the multipack came after when the dollar rate was worse meaning the price of the others will probably increase when our current stock is depleted.

Mines the double-sided Roccat Alumic and have used the reverse precision only a few times in trying to make up my mind which is best for me. Not a fan of it being paper-thin but see where they are going with this than the old days of awkward padded mats that gives poor gaming experience. I prefer smooth medium motion for low-DPI shooters as any more traction will reduce twitchfire.

Benefit though to two separate pads is that one is kept clean as sometimes despite regular cleaning and no fading to the pattern it gets a little dusty, far from ideal for gaming mice where one bit of dust or awol crumb will ruin your aim.

Not a fan of sticky tabs, don't normally last long before its rendered useless and would have preferred long rubber grips at each corner. Good starting price with the 2 year warranty.
