I kiss most my female friends on the cheek all the time, and they respond in kind (because they expect/are used to it).

I usally kiss my female mates on the lips, not sure why it's just evolved into that over the last few years. Saying that we are all very close seeing each other 3-4 times a week for 6-7 years.

Other female mates I'm not so "friendly" with usally get a hug and no kiss.

I've got a few foreign mates who insist on it. Feels a bit odd and I don't like that bristle on bristle feeling, but otherwise ok. And one gay mate who does, but same thing really.

One of them is a mate, the rest are acquaintances.

I wouldn't go there with any of them though.

Depends on the friend - some yes, some no. But I give lots of friends hugs - male and female.
