Best online store as far as PC components are concerned? OcUK, I'll go with that. As for customer service, OcUK are fantastic, there's no doubt about it. But compared to the one big player in that list, their CS is one step ahead.

For example, I bought a keyboard last Friday, when it came I inspected it and found one of the keys had a chip. Quick login into my account, I arranged a free replacement for Sunday and they picked up the old damaged one free of charge the following Monday.

I think those polls are a waste of time when loads of people are directed from this forum there to vote. People who shop at the other retailers aren't going to be directed to that poll.

As such, I think its biased and pointless. Ocuks service is fantastic NOW and so is their CS. The poll though..... pointless.

As much as I like Amazon, their lack of DPD these days is a major negative for me. I hate delivery roulette, even without a time slot RM and DPD have depot collection. OC win on choice and delivery and are neck and neck for CS (even if returns aren't as quick, rarely had to use them in either case).

The haribo is a lie (sometimes).

I live so close to OcUK that its pointless voting for anyone else, I can walk in, get the right advice, get the right parts at the right price. If there are any issues I can get that sorted no fuss.

Not a single salesperson in a purple blouse in sight and no bad advice after knowing the first line of blurb and not what is compatible with what!

Not so pointless now that Amazon is neck and neck with OCUK on 41%.

Pretty much this. OCUK don't do free delivery like many of those do, and are beaten on prices by several of those etailers on a consistent basis. Sure all the OCUK staff are nice guys and their CS is excellent, but in terms of standard business rates, they aren't the best in the UK. The only reason OCUK are top is because of their forum following.

Most of those businesses customers aren't shunned when they mention a competitors name either. An odd practise I don't wholly agree on around here.

Totally agree. From my experience OcUK and Amazon both offer very good customer service. I haven't a problem ordering from any of the retailers on the list (and have done so with no problems) but my preference is most certainly OcUK (which also happens to be local so can collect) or Amazon. OcUK are generally dearer with prices compared to the others so unless I need something immediately I tend to wait for specials or look to Amazon (then to the other retailers).
