Hi,

My shower has got sliding doors that i want to change. They attach straight to the walls.

Like you can see here

http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/1472-2563

Thing is, wall to wall the space is 113cm - 1130mm.

Shower doors all come in either 900, 1000, or 1200mm size. So what size am i meant to get and how on earth will it fit?

What i don't get is that obviously the current one is the right size, and it looks pretty cheap and bog standard...not a bespoke one.

Does the 1000mm come with strips to allow for covering either side?

HELP!

You will find that most shower doors have a min and a max measurement.

like on that link you posted that 1000mm door covers sizes
1000mm Door - 945mm to 995mm (in Alcove)

Best bet is to email a few ppl and tell em what size your opening is and they should be able to help

we had this problem with our shower, and i fixed a treated 4x2 piece of timber to the wall to close the gap to the nearest size, and tiled over it then fitted the door seal. it's difficult to describe but it's been up for 2 years the door hasn't leaked and it solved the problem. there is nprmally a small amount of adjustment to get the fit spot on

going to contact a few places and see what they say. If it doesn't work then a bit of wood may be the only solution, if so we might stick with what we got.

The current ones might be sold yes, they have white plastic frames and perspex not glass. Yet cost £250! Want it to be chrome to match the rest of the bathroom.
