Watching a movie today and there is a band on stage, you can hear the singer and bass guitar but nothing else.
I have heard this before where people have been dancing in other films but no music so I just thought 'so what'. obviously this dosn't happen in all films.
I decided to play the film in VLC and all the music is there so I tried to adjust settings in Kodi but no luck.

Any ideas?

How is audio sent, analogue or digital? The problem wth android boxes is you have android audio settings and Kodi settings.

I'd recommend you install coree elac that way bypass android setting also picture quality is much better
I had issues with bitstream lock with android + Kodi but coreelac sorted it

That means you're transcoding. Which I don't like to do, maybe for aac only as that isn't passed via HDMI or optical anything more than stereo even if it's 5.1 aac.

For anything else I leave as source is then use DSP expansion on my lexicon

If you use digital out you don't need to adjust the top half just below the line for bitstream.then set whether amp support dts dd etc

You really are going over my head.
The Firestick in question is going into an HDMI input on a mono TV and in that particular film (and others in the past) I could only hear the bass player and singer, put KODI on 3.0 and I could hear everything.
