Kodi refresh rate

Hi all, so I got fed up of my Samsung 4k TV and the Xbox One not being able to playback videos with DTS soundtracks so I've setup LibreELEC Kodi on an Intel NUC.

One thing I'm not sure on is what refresh rate to use? The resolution is currently set to 1080p and the refresh 30Hz.

Definitely 60Hz, the higher you can get the UI refresh, the snappier it will react. You only want lower refresh rates to match source which is generally 24Hz for film, 30Hz for US TV and 25Hz for UK/Euro TV, although you will often find TVs will do 60Hz for 30Hz material and 50Hz for 25Hz material.

Got it set to 120Hz now, feels a lot smoother.

Remember to enable frame rate switching though. So if you play a 24p video, it outputs at 24p.

Having the default set to 60hz is fine though.
