I don't know of any Muslims that burn the Bible or Gospal or any other book. This is just provoking, everyone knows Muslims absoloutly HATE any talk about their religion in a bad way.

Awesome stuff, so on one scale it achieves nothing good and on the other scale just adds more fuel to the fire for the extremists. Don't think it's quite the tribute that victims of the 9/11 were hoping for, for the anniversary of the event. Then again this looks like some church in some *poo*hole of town where people only live because they know nothing better. Also quote from organiser, "We must send a clear message to the radical element of Islam", hmm so you do that by burning the book that ALL Muslims read?
I guess the same could be said for those 'few' 'extremist' 'Muslims' who call for the destruction of the west and our deaths.
Not all of the people in west want to invade Muslim countries/hate Muslims in general.

BTW the guy's an idiot. He forgot to wear his white hood and cape, he's gonna get terrorised by muslims now.
I've seen people commit murder, I have yet to see a Book do so.

That's like saying guns don't kill people. It's an intermediary. People use justifications found in the bible or koran to commit murder.
The crusades come to mind.

The Crusades were fought for mainly political and financial reasons. A gun is not a justification, it's an enabler. People kill people, if they didn't have religion to justify it, they would simply invent something else. People commit murder or fight wars for political power, they hide behind interpretations of religions, it's rarely the real reason for committing anything.

I suppose if you hit someone hard enough with a copy of Mein Kampf it may kill someone, but it is unlikely that it could do so on it's own.

Some Christians gonna burn a copy of Koran. Meh. Probably not the best idea ever but doesn't actually harm anyone, it's just paper with words on it. Not exactly a great way of showing God’s love however! Especially given "You shall love your neighbour as yourself." Could argue that these "Christians" aren't actually Christians then..
Shame that Muslim militants in Indonesia have already promised to kill Indonesian Christians if Qur’ans are burned in Florida, and the history of anti-Christian violence in the country suggests that this is not an idle threat.
So yeah, bad idea. Even though it's just paper the sentiment is gonna seriously **** people off!
But.... I'd say that Muslims and Hindus burning Christians is a bit more serious!
