You're a godsend! Going to NYC the week before Christmas, and need to put together a food schedule. Whoop!

Was at NYC last weekend, had some great meals but sadly no photos.will add my micro reviews here.

Ai Fiori for dinner. Modern and sleek restaurant serving high end Italian. Service was superb, prices OK ($300 for 2 people, pasta+carne+dolce+cocktail+cheaper bottle of wine from the menu, inc tax and tip.) we skipped the starters in favour of a pasta course, I had veal tortellini which were excellent but the serving size disappointing. My GF had a wild duck ragu which was amazing and large portion. She had a halibut with chorizo and I had roast lamb. My lamb was very good but a little strange consisting of shredded lab that they set into a kind of terrine, really liked it and portion huge. after deserts we were truely stuffed.

bateaux new York lunch cruise, a cruise boat that goes around manhattan and to state of liberty. Lunch price was like $55 including boat cruise., so I thought it was value for money. Lunch menu was more limited choice but food was mostyl good for the money. Starters I had a lobster bisque which was amazing, the portion size was giantic, very rich and creamy. Could only eat half the portion. GF had a spas which was ok but obviously made a few hours before handwhichwas a shame. Entres were great Scottish salamon in a chili lime salas, and I had a guinea fowl. Deserts were not spectacular, cheese cake which was quite good but I have had plenty of better wines, and a chocolate cake which was poor. Wine list was reasonable, we got a bottle of cava at a good price.

river Cafe, amazing views of manhattan, impeccable service, and the bets food of the weekend, and some of the best food I have had in a long time. We were there at lunch, had 3 courses and 2 half bottles of wine and the total was about $200. Starters were green and white asparagus soup, I had a goats cheese terrine. There were plenty of sea food and fois groins starters but we opted for something more basic since it was early (and didn't stump up the 100$ for caviar). GF had a wild sea bass with langoustine, I had long island duck breast which had been cooked to perfection. Good deserts and complimentary chocs. Well definitely go back.

I walked pass Five Guys, my friend said they are a chain (popular) but being I didn't really like going to chain stuff I didn't go in. Except Starbucks :p.

We did walk pass Vortex though which was featured in Man v Food but didn't have time (or hunger) for a meal there.
