Hey,
Been there twice with my mates (PAz from here and a few others). Krakow is an awsome place. Its such a beautiful town and its great for a culture vulture or a drunked.
I highly recommend Roosters (I fell in love with one of the waitresses!!!) but to be honest, I can't really remember most of the places we went. The pizza place by the church is very good, but for the life of me I can't remember the name!
For drinking, there are a few good clubs, Frantic and Prozac are good. If you get a city spy map, i think there marked on there. There are always people about giving you leaflets for 'cheap drinks'.
Fusion is another good club, downstairs.
DONT BE PUT OFF BY THE BARS BEING UNDERGROUND. THEY ARE PERFECTLY SAFE AND ARE ACTUALLY QUITE 'PRETTY' INSIDE.
There are a few other places that I can't remember.
Drinks:
Beer:
The four beers i like are Żywiec (prenounced Jiv-e-etts), Okocim (prenounced O-ko-chim), Lech (prenounced Lek)and Tyskie (Tisch-key-e)
All very nice, Okocim has a slightly honey taste to it, tis a bit strange to start with, but is nice
Vodka:
Can't spell it in Polish, but its prenounced 'Vish-noof-ka'. Its polish cherry vodka and is the best vodka i've ever had. When you go to a club in the UK and ask for a cherry vodka coke, or similar, they usually use this. Tis my favourite drink.
Once again, can't spell this in polish, but 'Krup-nick' is Polish Honey Liquire/vodka. usually mixed with coke and tasty and spicy.
Polish grass vodka is lovely mixed with apple juice, its prenounced 'Zub-woof-ka) tis nice with ice and so. very refreshing.
there are plenty of other combos, but there the best!
I wont start on polish food as its not my fortay, i'll wait for paz to come.
hope you enjoy, and let us know how you get on
