hi - my company have shelled out £94 on an interim service and MOT at the end of this month for my saxo

basically because i do a few miles here and there

so what im wondering is

1 - what are the benefits of going to kwikfit over an independant garage
2 - are they good VFM?, [i think £94 for a part service and mot isnt too bad]
3 - there is a leak out of the bottom of my screenwash bottle causing the screen jets to not work - can they fix this on the day?

i only ask because my tax will be due and i need an mot to go with it

any experiences or stories would be appreciated

Kwik fit can handle tyres, and thats about it, they are a complete rip-off merchant, and their level of skill is YTS level.Servicing does not equal fixing, this is where they get you, suddenly your car will need loads of stuff fixing, at stupid prices.

would i be best going to a garage this weekend and get them to fix the waterbottle before kwikfit get their paws on it?

i have no choice to go to them as work booked it [and im skint]

KwikFit - Tyres, maybe an exhuast, possibly an MOT, thats it.

but i would leave with no mot that way?

If you've got a few days left on the mot, you can take it to a decent garage, get them to fix the stuff that needs doing, and then take it back to KF to pass the MOT.

Although if KF do come out with a nice long list of things to be done, you'll probably be better off not going back.
