Lack of 360 Games?

I'd say primarily it's Xbox Live as a whole, with a much better friend and chat system and ability to get into games. Plus the fact that a microphone is bundled means that your friends and others you may play with have one to.
I also own a PS3.

Halo Wars isn't a 'proper' Halo game though is it?
What's the actual order of the Halo games as I was going to start with 3, then ODST then Reach (not going to bother with 1 or 2 as I tried that the first time I owned an xbox)

After reading C64's post earlier on I nearly was going to quote it and say the exact same thing, I honestly believe that Live is the 360's real strength, I am massive Playstation fan but the PS3 doesn't come close in terms of social gaming imo, when my younger brothers come in the house from school they run upstairs, grab their headsets, turn on their 360's and join a party, stuff the controller half into their trouser pocket and run back down stairs to grab a bit to eat while chatting to their friends in-game, I actually find it amazing when I see them doing that, how normal it is to them.

The actual Chronological order is
Halo Wars
Reach
Halo Combat Evolved
halo 2
Halo 3 ODST
Halo 3
But you would be better going -
Reach
Halo
halo 2
Halo 3
Halo 3 ODST
Wars
The story is all over the place in parts and doing it in order does not make sense as Wars is not really a Halo game just a RTS spinoff.. Start with reach then 3 if you can remember the other 2 but tbh I would not worry as its not really the best story. All you really need to know is you are the good guy anything Alien looking needs killing, Job done...

Well I never owned the original xbox and when I owned a 360 first time around I was more of just a casual gamer and couldn't see the fuss about Halo whatsoever
I want to change my opinion now though. Same applies to the Gears games tbh, had Gears 1 on both 360 and PC but because I struggled then to really get into games I never completed it on either format. I didn't even touch the second game despite owning it from release

WHAT??, I really don't think my Credit Card can cover the amount of pitch forks that need to be ordered
Dude at least play through Halo CE, it can be had for around a fiver inc delv off the bay these days and works fine on the 360 or grab the PC version which also goes for around the same price.

I wouldn't bother Fable 3 will really make you regret buying one..

Its the biggest load of overated carp I have played. 2 was good 3 ruined it completely by trying to improve by making it too simple and really boring to play..
Just my opinion i,m sure some loved it... Maybe..
I read many posts like yours and started the game with trepidation but I'm 10 hours in now and I'm loving it. The many side quests are really well done and it's keeping me hooked. Ok, I've not played the last third yet so I might still change my mind.
Yeah it does seem to be a bit marmite. I really enjoyed 2 and started 3 holding high hopes but it just failed to deliver for me on a huge scale. I finished it but only the main quest quick time to get it sold on..
To be honest I got a 360 to play forza3, played forza3 to death got bored with it 360 sat and gathered dust... I hadn't used it for nearly six months, turned it on... RROD so got it replaced and sold it..
Problem with buying a console for one or two games, it just never gets the use.. expensive way to play an exclusive, so even though Forza4 is out this year I very much doubt I'll ever own another xbox360...
Just consider all options before slapping cash down for a console to play one or two games...
