Lame question: Where is a good place to buy wires?

Ok, first off I know this is a retarded question and I feel a bit foolish for asking but I seriously have no idea.

Basically, I am going to completely rewire the audio in my MR2 so I am after a load of wire in various colours.

What high street stores would sell wire for this purpose?

One that has an actual store, like a supermarket but for cars, theres a few around in Bradford so you must have one close.

They sell everything, from allows to window wipers, tips and mufflers to audio equiptment.
