How many fans can each channel handle?

Lots.

Seriously though it rather depends on the fans.

Theoretically you could attach 45 Bitfenix spectres or a similar number of 1000-1300Rpm fans.

Check your fans for their current rating. 45w is around 3.7A.

Thanks, I'll not exceed 13, I just wanted to be sure I could control all the fans if I decide to go push pull on my rad(s)
