Lan Parties

I agree, but there are quite a few people that host them but dont have websites..

I was only curious to see if there were any member on here...

internet isnt anywhere near as fun as a decent lan party, not to mention the simple fact that at a lan party there is no reliance on the internet speed etc etc..

Multiplay events are in my memory

My friends and me still have mini lan parties among the 4-7 of us every 3 months or so.

When it's 4, it's usually an afternoon and evening Saturday session of AoE3 with footy on SSN in the background, and all sorts of snacks, bevs and banter.

The larger ones take place over a whole weekend with 7 of us staying at the host. We fit in football, going out, takeaways, sampling lethal alcohols we've bought from places with visited over the previous months, Fifa.

Just picture it: 7 mid twenties guys in a 2-bed flat, laptops, PCs, cables strewn across a lounge/dining room and the host's gf hiding in a bedroom sulking at the mess everywhere.

Not what OP is after, but lan parties truly alive here!

Not really LAN parties as such, but Im really starting to enjoy the rise in online Coop gaming, and then just me and my brother using both PCs. Red Alert 3, L4D etc.

You can come to my basement...you might not leave.
Interesting proposal! lol

I used to host one in the local Sea Cadet grounds, but our fail was trying to play too many games on the agenda.

Also found LanSE (lanse.co.uk) which is based about 10mins from my house but never actually made it to one of this events.

There was one I went to in Watford many moons ago but can't remember the name of it, they used to host a couple per year, only 30-40 people though, nothing on the i-series scale.

Nice, another Wycombe-ite :D

There are more of us about than you think.

I know someone who used to go to LANs with the Wycombe group, I'll ask him next time I see him on MSN for you, there is definitely a group that does it though.
