Laptop for an old school gamer

Hi all.

I am looking for a decent laptop that can atleast get playble frames with some of my favourite games such as HL & CS 1.6, Starcraft, Homeworld (original

) and such.
Other than that its the usual spreadsheets + mp3 work so I hope it wont be too much. Budget is around 500.

At that price point, literally all laptops will come with an integrated graphics solution.

The good thing is it'll handle those games you've listed quite easily as they use old game engines. I think HL and CS 1.6 used a heavily modified Quake 1 or 2 engine if I recall.

Intel laptops at that budget will have either the Intel GMA 900 or 950 integrated graphics.

1.6 and starcraft work fine on my laptop with integrated intel graphics, not sure about other games though

I got my dad a laptop for xmas at around that price with an ATi Radeon xpress 200m integrated graphic thing, the toughest thing I've tried on it was Warcraft 3 and it handled it no problem, so it should run those games quite easily
