Laptop - Upgrade from Win 7 64 to Win 10 question

Hi, got a HP Laptop (500gb HD / i3 cpu 2.40Ghz / 4GB ram

Thinking of upgrading from Win 7 (although bottom of screen says not genuine?) to Windows 10.

Did a search on google and prices for Win 10 OS range from £20 upwards. What do I need as a bit confused as so many products etc out there.

Mainly use the laptop for the internet / Lightroom and Photoshop / kids homework / managing photos - hence thinking of upgrading for the new versions of LR and PS.

If you have win7 just go to Microsoft win 10 download page and run the media creation tool - "update this computer" - worked for me yesterday. No cost. Mel

You at want to upgrade to 8gb RAM, especially with a spinning HDD
