Reading a few editions of a laptop magazine and several times it mentions the warranties as this:
One year collect and return warranty as standard. This means they'll pay for collection costs if anything breaks, although you'll have to pay for parts and labour yourself.
How can that be a warranty? Surely a warranty covers repairs due to manufacturing etc, so how come the end user ends up paying the bill for parts?
I thought the mag had got it wrong but they frequently quote this for various manufacturers with basic warranties.
