never been one for Warranty, but thinking of buying a i7 lappy and its not cheap. standard 1 year warranty is a concern for me, as this thing is gonna be used for gaming and run hot.

2 years warranty with accidental damage is £100 which is ok i guess, i don't have home insurance as i rent, but the misses has, maybe a route that way?

Just wondering if anyone has any views on this or what you do, my previous £400 laptop was fine with 1 year and i accepted if it went bang after 12 months then so be it. but this is a bit more pricey

Hi There, worth seeing if you are covered under house insurance :) Maybe a cheaper a option

yeah gonna see if it can be covered on the misses insurance, as moving in next year anyway. warranty is something i always turn my nose up at, but this is a pricey lappy and the fact its fairly new technology in laptops with the i7's i just worry that it might get a little toasty as time goes on.
