Las Vegas Casino Question

Never had this issue to be honest! We were there back in March and had no issues like this despite going to all sorts of casinos/bars. Personality goes some way too. ;)

Awww, what are you saying ;)

Was surprised to be honest, but in the Mirage, A R I A (no idea why that's starred by the swear filter!!) and Luxor it was a definite (we chatted up the bar staff to find out :D) - you're right though, having a laugh with the bar staff/waitresses goes a long way. The English accent helps too, surprising what an Austin Powers impression gets you....... :p

just play Pai Gow Poker... and make sure you tip the waitress

you'll likely save money vs paying for drinks at a bar

Look up gambling strategies that prolong your bankroll, the casino edge means you will always lose over time but games like Black Jack can have a house edge of as low as 1% and if you can use the right wagering strategy you could theoretically be there all night, had loads of drinks and only lost a dollar.

higher variance - if you're just gambling for a short while to get some free drinks you'd likely want to sacrifice some of that low house edge for lower variance and therefore less risk. tis a more -EV proposition but you're likely to be closer to your -EV with pai gow whereas with black jack you might well double up or lose your small gambling bankroll for the evening

agree, if I am milking the free drinks the pai gow is what I play (baccarat sometimes but limits usually too high) not only is the edge below 1% but each hands take ages and loads result in a push (draw)
