I am currently doing a materials science coursework for my materials science module at uni. I have to write a report on Lead addressing various questions posed by the lecturer, I have almost finished the report, however, I am really stuck on being able to find anything about the microstructure of lead and also a picture of a micrograph showing a detailed view of pure lead. Can anyone here provide me with some useful resources or guide me in the right direction. I have spent hours searching on google but cannot find anything.

I read this as "lead" as in a dog lead, or "you can lead the way"

I was getting confused lol

LOL that is half my problem when attempting to search for information.

Lead is a metal, so it's going to have a crystalline structure (face centred cubic looking at the diagram on the wiki page). That should get you started.

Not sure if you have to go into the chemical properties etc, but you might have to look into the electron gas model to describe the way electrons move in metals.

Hey thanks for all the replies but I am not really looking for any more information on Lead itself as I have already written 5,000 words on it, the thing that I cannot find is an micrograph showing the microstructure of lead, that is all I seek.
