Did everyone else get a 4 win IP boost for free? I barely noticed it at first but next to my IP was a small icon that just said '4 wins remaining' or something when I put my cursor over it, and when I won I noticed I gained bonus IP. Is there a reason behind me getting this and is it something everyone got?

Everyone who logged in during the week of the downtime (last week I think) got a 4 win IP boost. I don't seem to have it even though I logged in though.

I got the bonus and i didn't have any problems at all last week so was definitely a win win 
Have finally finished getting full runes for 2 characters (Kennen and Irelia) so can finally consider buying a new character now.. in the market for a jungler as none of my current characters can cut it

I've been playing Amumu as a jungler - although i'm not great I at least can keep up with the leveling and it does allow me to run the jungler if no one else wants to
Would recommend him as quite a good noobey jungler. Moba fire has a good article on it (look for the one regarding amumu jungling ). Actually quite enjoying the jungling aspect more than I thought I wouldOk so got two new champs yesterday
Nocturne and Brand - love both of them. Noc is amazing had about 5 games as him and like him a lot.
Problem is the guys from my guild are all glass cannons so I'm going to have to start playing as a tank - I have Malphite, Amumu, Alistair and Rammus unlocked. I've also still got 3k RP I think or 2K. Not sure if I should get a 14 day IP boost thing or another champ. Got 13k IP so will be able to get a fair few runes for one champ when 20!

I blame bad players not knowing how to play properly against a snowball champion like Akali

rightnow i've been loving renekton, he's good fun but not quite got his build perfect yet.
renek and jax early game is a filthy lane combo tho
Fav tank is malphite but rammus is hilarious fun. can really **** with a carries day. lane rammus with ashe and you will own cus you taunt them from tower and ashe can get 3 or 4 hits on em with a volley aswell.

No they are totally seperate. I did the same and then changed over - glad I did tbh
Ouch thats a bit harsh .Ive had a few level 10-15 on my team and im level 30 and its annoying to say the least.Its like playing with a handicap knowing a team mate only has half masteries and half low level runes.Just have to think of it as a challenge and try to help them.
Not there fault .Im sure they would much rather play against similar levels.
I know i got a bit annoyed when i was level 15 and getting matched with 30's knowing i was at a disadvantage but made me try even harder to even the score

They probably queued up with a mate. I know when I started I queued with my friends who were all lvl 20+ at the time. At least it cant happen in ranked
Sadly being level 30 is no sign that someone will have the slightest clue how to play the game... Often see lvl 30 players totally feeding and wondering why do you still play the game, surely sucking every game and loosing would have gotten old long before now!
Everyone has bad games. I'm not terrible at LoL but I still have games where things just go wrong at every opportunity and I end up not being able to even defend a tower. Doesn't help when you can't even die once without someone shouting at you half the time which doesn't put people in a good mood.
The community of this game never ceases to amaze me though. I had someone call me a "noob" for not going back when I was on low hp (I didn't actually die and ended up healing back to full HP) only for him to end up on 0/10 as Twisted Fate and then used "It's my first game as TF" as his defense. Surely if it's your first game as a hero you shouldn't be calling other people "noobs" ?
