The studs on the manifold downpipe are bent and as a result the exhaust doesn't join correctly, there is a small gap, although the inner lip of the manifold is still inside the exhaust flexi pipe.

I filled the gap with exhaust paste (proper job!) which sealed it up, but I went too fast and hit the ground whilst going up a hill and the paste all fell out.

Would this have any ill effects?

Edit: I would take the thing off and straighten it, but one of the nuts is completely rounded off so I need a temporary fix until I can get it in the air and grind the thing off.

Apart from perhaps being a bit noisy i wouldnt of though it would have any long lasting damaging effects. You may be better off grinding the stud down and then drilling it out and replacing it with a bolt. Put somemore exhaust putty back in the gap.
