As said if you didn't exchange details at the scene, and he didn't report this to the police within 24 hours then he's committed an offence. Failing to report is quite a nasty one as well, up to £5000 fine and up to 10 points.

What details do they require though? I don't even have his numberplate or driving school name, as I was in the ambulance when he pulled off, will check it out though.

dont matter,i claimed through it with a hit and run,i got something like £1800 as i was third party,that was just for loss of earnings/injuries ect as i fractured my ankle

its basically a pool of funds that all insurers pay in,and you claim that way
