Running Vista ultimate and the computer seems to shut itself after a short while, and wont turn back on with mouse clicks etc...

Is this power saving or something? How would I get out of it?

Also, how do I turn it off?

Start button -> Control Panel -> Printers... err... Speech Recognition... err... no... oh, I know! -> Power options ;) And then switch over to "High Performance"

Yes, it's powersaving. It's Vsita's hybrid sleep mode, a combination of standby and hibernation.

Just press the power button on your PC and it should spring back into life, returning you to exactly where you were before it went to sleep.

It's rather cool, because you can create a scheduled task to defrag your hard disk overnight, and your PC will wake up to perform the defrag, then go back to sleep again.

I've turn off the auto sleep, but use it to shutdown my PC, so that it starts up immediately when I switch it on the next day.
