hey guys,

a friend of mine has orderd a HAF X and has alos bought 2 200mm blue LED fans for his case, now he wants to change the LED's to blue on the 2 fans that come with the case

were can you get bright LED's from that will fit and work properly and how do you change them ??

also he has bought a corsair h100 for his rig, can he mount that at the top of his case and have the 2 200mm fans pulling the heat out ??, will it work properly as well as or better than 2 120 fans on it instead, also if he put 2 120mm fans at the bottom of the rad pushing air thru it, will it cause reflaction in airflow as there will be 200mm fans on the other side sucking air out ??

cheers guys :)

It's probably doable but it sounds more effort than it's worth, it would require some pretty fiddly soldering and that's before you've even got to the existing LEDs which i'm guessing isn't easy in itself. It's probably a lot simpler to buy some more blue LED fans.

As for the cooler i'm not sure, I imagine the idea of the radiator fans is purely to cool and you should use seperate fans to push pull.

Yeah, I did say that to him, but he said he can't find a blue 230mm anywere for the HAF X

Well as 200mm fans spin a lot slower than 120mm I'm not sure if the flow in general will be different or cause dust build up or performance loss

my friend has said hes going to buy the 230mm fan from theramtake ans buy another 200mm fan from coolermaster

how about the h100 mounted at the top with the 200mm fans pulling air out and 120mm fans pushing air thru the rad, will it course airflow problems ?? or extra dust build up ??

cheers
