With my best mate being a Leeds fan I've been dragged to the last couple of midweek home games seen as though they were reduced :p:o

All I have to say is, I hope they play better in the league than they do in the cups because tonight was pretty bad (I want my £15 back ;))

Same with the Bury match too, that was quite bad couldn't defend the corners at all.

Tonight against Hereford I thought the defence again was terrible and the strikers couldn't have finished their dinners. Am I right in thinking that was more or less the first choice XI tonight as well?

I'm trying to think of a positive from Leeds tonight but I can't :p In comparison though, number 7 for Hereford (Ainsworth I think it was) who scored the goal was different class. Looked real pacey and linked up well with the 2 Hereford strikers.

But yeah, I know we have a few Leeds fans on here (Andybtsn and Gilly at least) I was just wondering if you reckon you can finish in the play offs or above at the end of the season? I know it was a good start for you guys, but with tonights performance I'm starting to doubt you can finish the job and get back up.

Wouldn't mind seeing you back in the Championship though, could do with the extra 6 points ;)

Have to agree, Ainsworth looks a really good prospect, he netted a hat-trick on Saturday as well - no doubt he will be on the move soon.

Must admit the past couple of weeks, Leeds have been poor but scraping through games, Swindon at the weekend being one.

I'm not bothered about being out of the Paint trophy and the FA cup as we don't need the money and we can fully concentrate on the league now. We are 4th in the league and going strong, still only one defeat to our name.

We've had a few injuries too of late, we really need Douglas, Prutton playing every game as they will be infuencial in our promotion back to the Championship :)

Wouldn't mind us getting another striker to compete with Kandol as he has been poor of late. That Ainsworth would be a nice addition, he never made it at Derby but he's too good for League 2.

We'll be back to our best soon enough :)

Tommy boy, that 6 points joke is getting old now;)

No way! A joke against Leeds never gets old :p

Did you go to the game Andy? Ainsworth was the best player on the pitch by a mile wasn't he!

I'd agree with what you say about Kandol as well, he got in a few good knock downs for Beckford and Constantine when he came on, but other than that some of his shots and desicions were poor.

I have to laugh at Leon Constantine though, turned down Barnsley last year because he didn't want to be playing in League One again the following year. Err Leon mate, where are you now? :p

That wasn't close to a first choice XI. For a start Kandol will drop to the bench whenever one of the other main strikers is fit, and he'd been struggling with an ankle injury since the weekend. Secondly our keeper Ankergren who has been a shining light for us since he joined got himself injured.

Players that were either injured or ineligible last night:

Ankergren (after starting)
Thompson
Kishishev
Derry
Prutton
Douglas
Flo
Da Costa
De Vries

Of the guys who started last night 5 are first choice.

I'm not taking anything away from the Hereford display, they battled hard, but that was far from a first choice XI for Leeds. Part of me is glad though, its less chance of getting bookings, injuries, etc. and the league has to be the biggest priority.

He's at a much bigger club though ;)

Probably earning more, too.

When Leeds beat Brighton earlier this year they looked completely shocking... but seem to have the stamina and legs that surpass most league 1 players and are able to score late goals to close a game off. (It also helps when your centre back doesn't slice a clearance past your own keeper into the path of Kandol too)

Although the form has been a bit wonky after Gus Poyet left, time will tell if his tactics played a big part in the earlier run of form.

From what my mate says he makes out Kandol and Beckford are the first two strikers?

I thought De Vries had gone back to Leicester as well?

You know more than me though obviously!

Yeah, you could tell there was something missing in the middle though. De Costa played well against Bury before he got sent off, looks like a good player.

I like the look of Douglas as well.

As for Constantine, what do you make of him? Thought he played resonabley well against Bury but thought he was a bit rubbish when he came on against Hereford.

Constantine is still a long, long way from fitness but lets not remember that he was set to be the main man this season. Kandol has done a manful job for us this season, benefiting from Beckford's talents, but a fit Constantine is leagues ahead, and a fit Flo would probably start ahead of him too.

De Vries has returned to Leeds on loan but as he wasn't available for the first meeting against Hereford he wasn't available last night. Same with Kishishev.

Its time we stopped living in the past though.

Doesn't matter who has gone from Leeds, it matters who is there now.

Looks like Parker and Howson will make the step up to first team regulars but Huntington is **** and the cream of our youngsters keeps getting pinched by the dirty southerners.

That name... Flo ! To believe that Rangers paid £12m for him ! Anyway, never really had a big opinion of leeds but thought it was sad to see them down to such a division when they once had such quality players and were in the premier league ! So hope they can make it back to championship at least :)
