Left 4 Dead 1 or 2?

Both are very good games but I prefer the second. Most people don't like the daylight campaign but I quite like it, it makes a nice change.

Same here. Get both but having played both extensively, I think the first game is just the better game. It has the originality, and it's far more atmospheric.

The second one didn't capture the imagination for me; it was just more of the same only in a far less unnerving daylight setting.
 
Given the price of the two pack, why not just get both of them! Both good games, and as said above I prefer the second one also.

However, when you can get both for the sake of something around £7 you may as well get both. You could always save L4D for a rainy day if you don't want to play it now.
 
kinda prefer the first one because the FOV is a lot higher, going to the second one it felt as if my gun was sellotaped to the side of my face. I think this can be changed now though?

Have to agree with this.
 
first game is unbelievably more fun, but has died out a bit due to left 4 dead 2/ its age.
left 4 dead 2 has many more players and so many more teams - where the game gets fun.
