Should be in the STEAMAPPS directory if you have it from there.

Note: I have it on PS3, and the manual is a very very brief affair.

I THINK:

Statue - is a 'map statue' you have found
Green "?" is a side quest you haven't completed
Banners with a symbol on are the levels you have completed that you can go back to in 'free play' mode with different characters to unlock more stuff

within those:
Mithril bricks are mithril bricks (in-game currency used at blacksmith, usually need to solve a puzzle to get them)
Treasure chests are treasure chests (usually 10 per level to find as a collectible)
Envelopes with a red wax seal are Blackamith Plans (need these before you can make whatever it is at the blacksmith)

I think that's the gist of it. There may be also a category for characters you've unlocked but not yet 'bought' - you get those by finding them on the 'middle earth' level and beating them up then talking to them.
 
Would echo that this is the best Lego game, fantastic stuff. The voices really work! I was impressed that the two characters could be so far apart in the hub world, even going through loading zones separately.

Due to this game being so flexible with two players it has made me more upset that Lego City Undercover on Wii U is single player only when it comes out in a few months.
 
Already completed this on the 360. GMG had it on offer after discount at around £9 so I bought it again, love the lego games, lots of things to do/collect, some funny bits in the cut scenes :p - great game!
