Lenovo good brand?

Hi, was thinking of buying a Lenovo G Series laptop from argos think its the G555 with 250gb hard drive anyone had experience with this laptop or Lenovo?

I know 2 people that bought the G550 last year. It's alright. basic, and functional, good build quality. You can probably get sleeker and more stylish laptops but I would recommend IBM/Lenovo I have an X31 which must be 7 year old still going strong. Somewhere was selling a G550 with 4GB ram 500GB hd and a Core2 processer for around £400 - not sure if it was special deal or what but it seems to be good value.

Lenovo is a good brand. The value line of their laptops are just that - value. Quality is good though. Their highend stuff is somewhat over priced, but awesome none the less. I'm lusting after a Thinkpad Edge 13 for myself...

Cannot fault my Y series Ideapad.

Solid build quality, plenty of features and nice touches, look nice too imo!

i've not much experience with their consumer laptops, but i've been a ThinkPad user for almost ten years now and i don't see this changing any time soon.

<edit> right now i have four ThinkPads within arms reach
