Lenovo legion 5 recommendation

Hi,
Can you please advise if that is going to be good laptop for few years.
It will be family laptop also for playing games.

It depends how long you want to keep it. That laptop was recently on offer for the same price but with a 3070, so I would say it isn't a good deal.

For just a family laptop if look at something cheaper and if it's just for the odd game you could use Stadia / GeForce Now

That's 3070 money, I wouldn't want to drop 1K on a 3060.

There's a 15inch with 3070, same brand, if you search around.

Currently I can find the 15" in your budget but recently the 17" has been in budget too. Set up a HUKD alert, they come up regularly at that price.

For a shade under £1050

Seems like a good deal to me.

Bargain with the QHD panel. I can only see the FHD one.

I can see there is lenovo legion 17.3 on offer, (799£) with rtx3060, but it has 8gb ram,
If i would like upgrade to 16GB, do i need to buy new pair 2x8gb or just one 8gb and add it please?

Probably 2x8GB as those with 16GB & 32GB come with two DIMMs so I'd expect 8GB to be the same.
