So I was bored at work and decided to go see this while I waited for some stuff to finish. I have already seen Let The Right One In so I was interested in seeing what the Holywood gloss had done to the story, as it happens everything is pretty much intact. Infact this version isn't far off a scene by scene repeat of the original but with English speaking actors instead! Chloe Moretz does a decent job with her part and the young boy is capable in his role as well.

My only criticism is the use of CGI, it's not used very often (only during the murders Abby commits) but it doesn't quite look right.

Saw this a couple of weeks ago.

To be honest, they did a pretty good job, much better than I was expecting.

I only saw the original only 6 months ago, although enjoyed it, is it worth seeing this one so soon?
Haven't seen it, so I'm only going by reviews... but most reviews I've read seem to think it's a worthwhile remake, and fans of the original will find enough to enjoy in this version too.

wtf, i thought I'd seen this turns out i've seen Let the Right One in not Let Me in

Let me in Plot

A bullied young boy befriends a young female vampire who lives in secrecy with her guardian.

Let the other one in plot

Oscar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl who turns out to be a vampire.

Has Hollywood been stealing plots again ?

It was quite a while ago a watched the original film but it was a big dissapointment IMO. The book was brilliant but half the story is missing from the film
