LG 38WN95C to 2019 Macbook Pro over Thunderbolt - no deisplay detected

Hi,

I can't get my MBP to display on my 38WN95C over Thunderbolt, power delivery is working though.
If i go to display in preferences and hold the option key and select detect display no display is detected.

Does anyone have any ideas?
